Honourable Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services Thiru T.Mano Thangaraj interacted with Ms. Ms. Gaitri Issar Kumar, High Commissioner of India to U.K., Mr. Sujith Ghosh, Deputy High Commissioner & other High Commission officers. The Minister discussed investment opportunities in IT/ITeS sector in Tamil Nadu.

In the presence of Honourable Information Technology & Digital Services Minister Thiru T.Mano Thangaraj, Mr. Marten van den Berg, Ambassador of Netherlands to India inaugurated VISICS Access Technology Group’s first international office in Chennai – a State of the art Experience Centre funded by the Government of Netherlands.

To enhance IT sector, attract investments in IT/ITeS in Tamil Nadu, Mr. Marten van den Berg, Ambassador of Netherlands to India and his delegation called on Honourable Chief Minister Thiru M.K.Stalin. Honourable Minister for Information Technology, Thiru T. Mano Thangaraj launched e-procurement portal (http://eproc.elcot.in/) for procuring hardware. This will make it possible to procure hardware with ease, avoid delays and at low cost.

Honourable Chief Minister handed over a desktop to 6 students as a token of software firm Infosys’s handing over of 1,370 refurbished desktops on behalf of the Information Technology Department to 70 Greater Chennai Corporation Schools.
